MIS End 2017 On a High Welcoming New Tester to the Team 07 February 2018
It’s been a busy 18-months for MIS as we welcomed a total of nine new colleagues, and at the end of November, we welcomed our final new recruit of the year. Emma Long joined our marine assurance software team as a Tester.
Emma told us: “I decided to apply for MIS as I wanted to transfer the skills I had learnt over the past four years as a tester to a new discipline. MIS caught my attention, because the environment offered a completely new industry setting, with the option to develop my skills.
“Since my first day, I’ve been very happy with my decision to join MIS. Everyone is very friendly and approachable, and I was given the opportunity early on to work on a number of product changes, which helped me familiarise with the multiple complex systems. It has also allowed me to work closely with the developers and business analysts as I became accustomed to the marine assurance industry and the style of working at MIS”.
Roger Harris, Product Director at MIS, commented: “We’ve have done very well to have expanded our business reach in the manor achieved over 2017. Furthermore, in a bid to extend our team to meet the increased workload, we consider ourselves fortuitous to have found new recruits who not only hold the skills and knowledge required for the specialist roles they fulfil, but also the attitude and drive shared by our existing colleagues. Emma is no exception. Since joining, she has not been afraid to get involved in projects and showcase the skills she brings to the team.
“We all wish Emma the best of luck in her new role and look forward to seeing her develop with MIS over 2018”.
