MIS has been awarded the contract to provide a full infrastructure management and global support service for the Ship Information System (SIS) developed by Statoil. SIS is used as the primary marine assurance system by Statoil, Phillips 66, Preem AB, Borealis, Neste, ConocoPhillips, Statoil Fuel & Retail, Petrobras and Gassco.

From August 2015, MIS will provide all hosting and maintenance activities to the Statoil network, including full independent hosting, helpdesk support, maintenance services and ongoing development for SIS, which is used by more than 2000 operators globally. The contract will also provide all management, billing and administrative support to the partnership.

“The SIS application is an essential tool for capturing and making available to the partners, technical, inspection and experience data for vessels. By offering a complete management and support service for the Ship Information System, we will be helping Statoil to move away from day-to-day support and maintenance issues and focus instead on the business requirements and direction of the platform”, said Dominic McKnight Hardy, Managing Director of MIS.
