MIS appointed OCIMF’s technical manager for marine safety programme systems 05 January 2015
MIS is proud to have been formally appointed as technical manager of the Oil Companies International Marine Forum’s (OCIMF) programme systems, building on a long history of providing development services for OCIMF.
MIS has provided programme development, support and maintenance services for OCIMF’s Ship Inspection Report Programme, (SIRE), Offshore Vessel Inspection Database (OVID) and Marine Terminal Information System (MTIS) for a number of years.
The new agreement will now see MIS assume responsibility for OCIMF’s helpdesk function, supporting over 12,000 users, as well as leading the management and strategy of the programmes together with OCIMF.
Working in collaboration with OCIMF, with the shared goal of improved marine assurance and safety, MIS has assisted in creating standardised marine assurance systems, promoting a more comprehensive, coherent and transparent marine vetting process.
“We are delighted to have been given an opportunity to further build on what we’ve already achieved during our long relationship with OCIMF”, said Dominic McKnight Hardy, Managing Director of MIS.
“We’re confident that we’ll be able to use our expert domain knowledge to continue to improve OCIMF’s systems and provide their users with a fast and flexible helpdesk response.”
