MIS awarded contract to build new Chevron vetting system 05 January 2015
MIS are proud to have been selected to design and build a bespoke vetting system for Chevron, securing the contract ahead of several other software houses operating within the marine assurance sector.
The vetting system project will centre on replacing Chevron’s current PAVIS system with a new state of the art vetting system, built upon the MIS Marine Data Warehouse (MDW) platform.
The new system will be built using the latest industry standard technologies to provide Chevron with a customised product, completely tailored to the global company’s internal business processes and requirements.
The application will provide comprehensive analysis of industry data sources from various external feeds, providing Chevron with all of the required information needed to make key vetting decisions.
“This contract is a significant win for MIS and further strengthens our position as a leading provider of marine assurance software,” said Dominic McKnight Hardy, Managing Director of MIS.
The new Chevron system will serve the Marine Assurance, Chartering, Trading and Voyage Management teams in North America, Europe and the Far East.
MIS will collaborate with the Chevron Infrastructure Teams to deploy the system to hosting within Chevron’s North America-based infrastructure.
Chevron’s new vetting system is due for release in 2016.
